University House’s business model is similar to Frontier or Spirit Airlines: people see the low-quality product and services, but continue to use them out of necessity. It is furnished, next to DU, and cheap. Those are the only positives. I lived at University House for three years and watched this place go to crap. The only star I can give is for quick maintenance. Elevators The elevators have been unreliable for 1.5 years. Repairs repeatedly failed, and they were out for periods ranging from a day to multiple weeks.
If I was being paid to live here I still wouldn't renew again
Worst building you will ever live in. Elevators are constantly broken. Sometimes both at the same time. If you don’t live near the lobby good luck doing laundry, you have to walk a mile to get to the laundry room. Communication from staff is terrible. The front desk people are good, always nice. But the higher up staff are terrible. They’re literally renovating part of the building and i had no idea; as a resident we should be informed of this, lol. You never know when the elevators are going to be broken or fixed because again, they don’t tell you. AC has broken like 4 times at least.
